A rare January admission of two infant bear cubs approximately a week old. Each weighing just a bit more than 1 pound. They were orphaned by an unfortunate encounter between man and bear. A deer hunter stumbled ( literally) onto (literally) a den. Mom bear defended her cubs and man defended himself. Many thanks to the NJ Bear Team for responding quickly and keeping the cubs safe until they could get them to us. We are glad to be able to give these innocent little ones a chance.
