A reader asks: Hi all, I had my daughter in September, and was exclusively breastfeeding up until christmas. As soon as she turned 3 months she just didnt want to know me. She kept turning away and we would fight for hours about it, with no result. In the end i was so worried I had to give her formula. I was told that at around 3 months babies can start rejecting you because of many reasons, teething, wanting to wean etc. So I still tried to nurse her everyday, but to no avail. I was really quite sad about it all, because I was chuffed I succeeded where I had failed with her sister. Anywho, I woke up yesterday and my right breast was so so painful. No heat, I wasnt engorged, But I read I should try and express to ease the pain, and use a cold compress. Im surprised I still have milk, not alot but its been 2 weeks. I tried her again this morning, but she wont stay latched. I dont get i?. She will drink breastmilk from a bottle but not me. Is there anything I could try? also is there anyway to ease this pain? Ive tried creams, not wearing a bra, wearing a bra, frozen peas any advice would be fantastic!! Thank you everyone! xox
