A recent graduate of our police academy just helped make San Diego a better place to live in. We also want to highlight Field Training Officer Nabizadeh for all the great training. -Taggers Arrest Leads to Twenty Graffiti Case Cancelations- On 04-14-2014 at approximately 7:50 pm, Officer Ashton was flagged down by a citizen wanting to report individuals tagging a wall on the 2900 block of Beyer Boulevard. Officer Ashton responded to the area and located two subjects leaving the area of the tagging. Officer Ashton detained 21 year old Otoniel Sanchez and a second subject. At the time of the contact, Sanchez was in possession of a spray can matching the paint color of the nearby freshly vandalized wall. With the assistance of Graffiti Tracker, it was determined that Sanchez was responsible for 19 separate incidents of vandalism throughout the city. Sanchez is responsible for tagging “TS” (Truly Sick) and “TOEK”. Sanchez was booked into County Jail on 20 counts of vandalism. The companion was released without charges.
