A relaxing 66kms (1hr 50mins) by train between Craigieburn and Lilydale. Except for worrying about my bike on the Lilydale train: check how my average heart rate increases once I get on that train in a City Loop station. Could be 2 reasons for that: 1. Its a railway line I rarely use (I am not accustomed to it); 2. The model of train was poorly designed/not suitable for bikes, having to hold my bike the whole way. Another minor concern of the trip was minimal Internet access within the City Loop tunnel. (The GPS trackng is also out for that duration, the route shown on the picture is not accurate.) Despite these issues, I still believe taking the train on bike rides is a lot better than driving a private motor vehicle.
