Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) is the national governing body for competitive cicket in the republic of Zimbabwe, responsible for the day to day management and administration of the game. VISION To become a successful performer in the global sports and entertainment industry. Values - Teamwork - Excellence - Integrity - Commitment - Fairness - Gender equality Mission Statement To promote the sustainable development of cricket as a national sport, while raising the playing standard to achieve and maintain international success. Membership Membership is made up of associations representing each of the countries 10 administrative provinces. While each association acts autonomously within its geographic border, all work together for the greater good of the game at national basis. These associations have seen directors on the 13 member ZC board and the provincial chairpersons also decide on the appointment of the remaining six directors onto the board. Alongside the provincial association, ZC has provincial offices. In 2008, a review of the effectiveness of the current provincial structures was undertaken. This saw the reduction in the number of provincial offices from ten to four, responsible for the central, eastern, northern and western zones. They govern cricket activity together and implement ZC programs in the provinces which fall under their jurisdiction. Affiliations ZC is a Full member of the International Cricket Council (ICC). The chairman of the ZC board is director of the ICC Executive Board and IDI Board (an ICC company). The Managing Director of ZC sits on the ICC Chief Executives Committee. ZC is registered with the Sports and Recreational Commission of Zimbabwe (SRC). The 13 member ZC board continues to provide the highest level of strategic guidance and governance to the organization. By setting policy, the board is ultimately accountable and responsible for the performance and affairs of ZC. It operates by delegating authority to the board committees and management. Decision making is on consensus.
