A report is being prepared for the NSW Coroner concerning the death of a woman following a scuba dive off Terrigal yesterday. The 33-year-old woman was with three others divers and a guide about 8.30am yesterday (Sunday 5 October 2014), when she became distressed while diving off the HMAS Adelaide. She was assisted to the surface and CPR was initiated on the dive boat. NSW Ambulance Paramedics were alerted and met the boat at Terrigal, where treatment continued. The woman was driven by ambulance to Gosford Hospital then taken to Prince of Wales Hospital, where she died shortly after 4pm. A post mortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause of death. Police will prepare a report for the information of the NSW Coroner. The woman was from Bronte.
