A reputable English-Speaking Magazine is URGENTLY hiring: 1- Part-time (home-based) Reporter/Journalist: Job Description: • Covering and reporting different events in the field of Entrepreneurship and Startups • Writing English features and articles in the field of Entrepreneurship and Startups • Interviewing public figures, youth, and young entrepreneurs • Photographing and shooting video footage of event • Assisting in all magazine-related matters which will be assigned to him/her by the Managing Editor and Editor in Chief Job Qualifications: • Excellent command of English language, written and spoken, is a MUST • Prior working experience in an English-Speaking publication is preferred • Bachelor degree (in any major) • Ability to work dynamically in a team • Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines • Creativity and ability to propose new ideas for the magazine contents • Good computer, internet, and social media skills • Passion for Entrepreneurship and new ventures • Willingness to learn and develop in a professional organization The magazine is bimonthly (issued every two months). Estimated working hours are 15 hours/week. Work is mostly home-based. However, the successful candidate will be required to cover events and attend at least two meetings/month with the magazine staff. Applications with missing documents or different subject lines will be excluded from our selection. 2- Part-time Photographer: Job Description: • Holding photo sessions with our interview subjects at their offices, homes, or in an outdoor location • Photographing and shooting video footage of different locations and major events • Photographing and shooting video footage of magazine meetings and events • Editing and retouching images Job Qualifications: • Good command of English language • Bachelor degree (in any major) • Perfect use of Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom • Prior working experience in magazines and newspapers is a plus • Ability to work dynamically in a team • Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines • Talent and creativity in photo and video shooting • Owning portable photography equipments to be used during the photo sessions • Good computer, internet, and social media skills The magazine is bimonthly (issued every two months). Estimated working hours are 8 hours/week. The successful candidate will be required to attend the required photo/video shooting sessions and to attend at least two meetings/month with the magazine staff. Applications with missing documents or different subject lines will be excluded from our selection. 3- Part-time (home-based) Copy-Editor/Proofreader: Job Description: • Proofreading the contents and layout of the magazine for any spelling, formatting, or design mistakes • Editing the magazine contents for accuracy, clarity, and consistency of content and format; correcting spelling, grammar, and punctuation • Assisting in all magazine-related matters which will be assigned to him/her by the Managing Editor and Editor in Chief Job Qualifications: • Excellent command of English language, written and spoken, is a MUST • Prior working experience in an English-Speaking publication is a MUST • Bachelor degree (in any major) • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications (especially word) to edit and review documents • Mastery of English writing styles • Accuracy and attention to details • Ability to work dynamically in a team • Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines • Good computer, internet, and social media skills The magazine is bimonthly (issued every two months). Estimated working hours are 8 hours/week. Work is mostly home-based. However, the successful candidate will be required to attend at least two meetings/month with the magazine staff.
