A response I made to someones asinine comment instead of being mean... The Bible is nothing like other religions. Huge differences. And I personally have experienced things directly from God Himself that would blow your mind. Even when I tell others, they are shocked. And guess what? It happens exactly the way the Bible says it will when I am obedient. You see, the reason people don’t see God in their lives is because they choose not to. So He steps away so they don’t see Him. Why? Because He gave us free will and a choice. If we choose not to want him in our life, He will oblige us because He gave us that option. No compulsion, just choice. And I have noticed that the more I shut up and listen and the more I do things the way He says we should, for our own good by the way because He does love us, then even more things happen the way He said they would. In fact, it is almost scary sometimes how accurate the Bible has been and even more so, how targeted and precise the interventions and foreknowledge and other things have become. The more I believe and let God take over and discern what is from Him and what is not, the more He does things and I have been writing some of them down, and they become more precise and bigger things and obscure things that I told no one else about but which He did anyways, and as I said, when I tell people or they see it or experience these things themselves, it is just something that cannot be explained. It is beyond awesome. But again, it is a choice. If someone chooses to not believe and trust and be obedient to Him, then He will stay away because that is what you wanted. But when you decide to really understand, it will change your life. But you are right about one thing. Religion in and of itself has been a bad thing. Our Pastor always talks about how she cannot stand religiosity or religious people. There is a huge difference between religion and a personal relationship with the Lord.
