A ridge of high pressure will remain over our area today. A series of storms is tracking just to our north and east. These will provide a few high clouds, but we will continue with the extreme heat and humidity today. Highs will be in the 90s with heat indices back into the triple digits. Heat Advisories are in effect throughout the day in the entire KWWL viewing area. A front will track into the region tonight switching the winds around to a northerly direction, but won’t bring much of a chance of storms. A few storms may pop up, but most will stay dry. We will stay hot and humid, but temps will drop a few degrees into the upper 80s to mid 90s for tomorrow and be around 90 on Thursday. Some storms may pop up Thursday night and again on Friday night, but the daylight hours will be hot and humid through the weekend. High pressure will track into the region from Canada on Sunday and Monday bringing highs into the mid to upper 80s through Labor Day.
