Furthermore, once the pipeline spill was discovered, Tesoro dispatched crews to check two other sites on the pipeline for leaks, indicating they were aware of potential fail points in the pipeline. and it gets worse. they didnt report the oil spill, used inaccurate methods to comput how much oil was spilled and colluded with employees at the North Dakota dept of Health to try to prevent the spill from becoming news... this is what it looks like when industry basically regulates itself and local municipalities pass laws making it illegal for whistle blowers to document abuses...
