A roposal inspired by the above picture, tribute to Bishwajit Roy, an innocent victim who was killed by notorious brutality of government party members in police presence in the bright day light: I am neither a politician nor a scholar. I am simply a citizen that likes to see some fairness, justice and responsibilities taken by our administration and as a result I have a proposal. If there is an interim administration come to administer before election, the first thing they should form is a body containing equal number of members/representatives from all political parties: AL, BNP, JAMAT etc. to establish at least one solid policy: This body’s approval to conduct Hartal/ Dhormoghot. Etc. If that sounds controversial, we can add equal number of neutral /non-political citizen in that body. Their job will be ONLY to administer Hartal of any kind. Take steps or do whatever necessary to make this Strike-Administration neutral and 100% effective. Without their approval, there will be no Hartal. For any death or killing or loss of asset or property, somebody must be responsible and accountable. Hartal cannot be a free ride anymore. Before any Hartal is declared, it has to be approved by this body. No elected government, PM, President should have any control in it. No government or political party should have any right to appoint /expel a member or dissolve this body at any time. Even the MPs shouldn’t have any power to make any change. Political parties over the years took advantage of no rule or regulations in Bangladesh. There must be a policy in place to protect innocent citizen and businesses. Most of the brutal killings we have witnessed are during Hartal, strike, Dhormoghot or whatever you call it. This must be stopped. Period. Without this Strike-Administration we should not even think about election let alone forming and creating a government. This is the time. Not after election or after forming next government. So the time is NOW. Dont cry- share and do something-------its our problem, its our country, its our citizen.
