A sad and amazing day indeed. This gentleman lived a long life after enduring some of the worst times anyone could witness. If you have not see the series Band of Brothers, I highly recommend it. Many of these guys vowed to live quiet, humble lives after WWII and they have. They did not seek glory, fame or riches off their past experiences but sought solitude and happiness. Millions sacrificed their lives in WWII by dying.
