A sad blast from the past this week. Just found out that my first steady girlfriend passed away in March. A typical teenage romance. Two happy years from 1957 to 1959, beginning when I was 17 and she was 16. Seemed to gradually run out of steam when we both started work. No fall out, no quarrel, we just drifted apart. Still a little place for her in my heart though. Bumped into her in 1960 and had a brief chat. She then moved to another town. That was the last time I ever saw her. Saw her brothers name on a memories website. He told me she died of heart failure following a long battle with Alzheimers. So tragic that the beautiful, bubbly girl I knew had suffered this way. We used to go to the local youth club disco twice a week and this was one of her favourites. RIP Mary. This ones for you. God bless. xx youtu.be/3rQEbQJx5Bo
