A search is underway in bushland just south of Forster for a man missing since the weekend. Peter Cooke, 54, is believed to have left his Forster home on Saturday afternoon (Saturday 7 April 2014), and driven to Cape Hawke, in the Booti Booti National Park. Police from Manning / Great Lakes Local Area Command were alerted when he failed to return and could not be located or contacted. Mr Cooke’s car was located on McBride’s Beach earlier today (Monday 7 April 2014) and serious concerns are held for his welfare. An extensive search is continuing in the area and police are appealing for anyone who sees him, or believes they know his whereabouts, to come forward. He’s described as being of Caucasian appearance, approximately 173cm tall, with a thin build and dark, balding hair.
