A section of the Elmaasai people say that River Kishion in Israel was once their abode during their vortex of their migration in the Middle east. they say River Kishion means the river of blessings, fertility and Life. they also argue that Ilchumaru people came about as a result of a Maasai girl being married by an Arab. it is amazing that the Ilchumaru(Somali) called the Maasai by the name Apio, Apiya meaning uncle though Ngapu is another Elmaasai name meaning uncle.the Kipsisgis Opule came from the Elmaasai Apuia.the Elmaasai elders also chant PARSINAI prayers a clear indication of their origin in SINAI area of Israel. In the Book of 1st Chronicles in the Bible , we get the name Masai or Maasaiah .
