A seminar was organised by the Pakistani Embassy in the Netherlands on GSP+ on Wednesday 14th January 2015. The Dutch Vice-Minister for Commerce, H.E. Mr. Simon Smits led a business delegation to Pakistan in 2014 and commended the strengthening of trade ties since then. He stated at the occassion “I am glad that there has been significant progress in trade relations between the Netherlands and Pakistan”. “For instance, the resumption of the dairy cows trade offers great opportunities for trade and for technology and knowledge exchange also in the wider area of dairy management. LUMS has signed an MoU for cooperation with the HAS University of Applied Sciences in Den Bosch. CBI, the Dutch Centre for the Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries, plays a significant role in helping Pakistan’s SMEs do business in the Netherlands and Europe, making use of the opportunities under the GSP+ scheme.” “There are many more such opportunities to be developed throughout 2015 – for instance in water management and agribusiness. I am excited at this prospect.”
