A senior citizen was killed after she was struck by a car at the junction of Jalan Kepong-Jinjang Utara in Kuala Lumpur this morning. 84-year-old Leung Man Chun was believed to have gone for breakfast at a restaurant across the road and was walking back to her house nearby when the accident occurred around 7am. The impact caused her to be thrown over the bonnet and into the windscreen. She died due to severe head injuries. Police are investigating whether the driver had ignored the traffic lights before hitting Leung. The case is being investigated under Section 41 bracket one of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless, dangerous and negligent driving. Those convicted can be jailed up to five years or fined up to RM20,000, or both. ntv7 #7Edition #accident
