A ship owned by KAMBARA KISEN SINGAPORE PTE. LTD., received an award from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore for being a ship that reduces the burden on the environment. The “MAJULAH SINGAPURA”, a 58,000 ton DWT bulk carrier, owned by KAMBARA KISEN SINGAPORE PTE. LTD., the local Singapore company of KAMBARA KISEN Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture), received an award from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore as an environmentally-friendly ship that promotes their Green Ship Programme. ・KAMBARA KISEN Co., Ltd.  kambara-kisen.co.jp/english/ The Green Ship Programme is designed to promote the operation of energy-saving ships in order to reduce the environmental burden in Singapore which is a maritime center in Asia where many ships gather. KAMBARA KISEN SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. received the award for the “MAJULAH SINGAPURA” which was completed in June 2014 at the TSUNEISHI GROUP’s shipbuilding base, TSUNEISHI HEAVY INDUSTRIES (CEBU), Inc., and has been recognized as having high energy-saving performance. Mr. Yasuhiko Matsuo, President of KAMBARA KISEN SINGAPORE PTE. LTD., attended the Maritime Forum held by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore on 25 November, and received the award along with the other companies that were awarded by Mr. Andrew Tan, the Chief Executive of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore. KAMBARA KISEN SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. operates the “MAJULAH SINGAPURA”, which is named after the national anthem of Singapore, the country of registry, and means “Onward! Singapore” in Malay, throughout the world.
