A short Excerpt of EJ Hills performance at Commonwealth and Council tonight. Also Carmen Argotes painting was a fabulous kind of time capsule for those of us who were brought up in the LAUSD system. Congratulations to both artists for a fantastic evening. This is during the final 30 min of the performance where EJ was clearly fatigued. The performance ended when he collapsed and Inmo and Rafa and another person ran to his rescue, loosening his clothes, giving him water, etc. It was a humanistic end to a potent performance. We knew what he was doing, we knew where it was going and we knew he wanted to go there but when he finally did, it was great to see the other artists take action.
