A short one: passing the famous Concertgebouw on the right side, we leave Van Baerlestraat and take a left into Johannes Vermeerstraat. Far left across the aptly named Museumplein we can see the recently renovated Rijksmuseum. Next on our left is the American consulate. The white hut houses police surveillance for the consulate. On the right hand corner where this shorty ends we can find the excellent – and rightfully famous – steakhouse ‘Loetje’. This is the original place, but there are as many as seven subsidiaries now.
