A shout out to Joy! Thank you so so much!!! I have been working with Chase using the behavioral theory we talked about and wow what a difference already. He is learning so fast! He broke his lead today, failed to listed to the command "heal" [which is being used to get him to come to my side] and took off running out of sight! scared me so so bad, I was in a panic but kept yelling "come" with the non-verbal. Took him about a minuet and he was back at my side!!! Still not there yet but that was a huge accomplishment for him! So, I have been doing some research on “Husky” breeds; since I know nothing about dogs! I found out that the “Husky” is a general name, but that there are different types and subtypes of “Husky”. What I found the most interesting is researchers have determined that “Huskies” are one of the oldest types of dog; calling them the “Ancient Breed”. Malamutes and Siberian Huskies were bred in with Wolves. How cool is that! I also found out that “Huskies” have some different characteristics [e.g. white and gray; brown and black; rusty red and white; black and white; blue eyes, brown eyes, green eyes, sometimes one brown and one blue or brown with blue specks.] I also found out that there are five main types of Husky [Siberian, Greenland, Sakhalin, Alaskan and Mackenzie River] and several subtypes [CRAZY]. FYI Malamute Huskies ARE HUGE!!!
