Dear Lord, While David saw the initial fruits of this promise through his son Solomon, his understanding of the promise only scratched the surface of what You ultimately had in mind. I would have loved to have been present when David no longer saw things through a glass darkly... as he looked upon the expanse and beauty of Your Promise from a heavenly perch. How similar will it be when we view things from such a perspective? To know the truth concerning The Truth of Your Word and concerning Your will in action will fill us with joy unspeakable... and a sense of overwhelming pride in You - our Redeemer and our God. To know You were so merciful as to include us in Your grand design will provide enough thanks-infused fodder to fuel humble gratitude for all eternity. Okay, enough for now or I just might burst.
