A small, sweet, innocent and powerful Ganesha story for you :- Once the Gods had a race. The one to circle the entire universe fastest would have been the winner. Needless to say, all of them were ready to prove their mettle, the most eager being Lord Indra and Lord Karthika. Our birthday boy, Lord Ganesha had no hurry. He was totally calm and composed. Not bothered about the competition, he did not even begin the race. He probably did not want to bother his sweet little mouse, his transport :) Yet he won the race. Do you know how? He circled the entire universe before anyone else, his universe being Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati who were standing right there. Such a sweet lesson isnt it?
