A sneek-peek from the book, "The Booger Man" by yours truly - coming soon! "Summer finally came, and Tom and I were out of school. We didn’t have any other childhood friends, because of our isolation so far away from town. We spent our days playing and chasing each other around the woods, and wandering down to the lake at the end of the road. Our favorite game that summer was “stick tag”. Find a stick… chase your brother down and hit him with it. Then run like hell, because it was his turn. Tom could ping me in the back of the head from a pretty good distance, so I had to be quick. The other game we liked to play a lot was "baseball tag"... that really hurt. Because of our family dynamic - I spent as much time away from the house as possible. There were no other kids... or houses for that matter anywhere nearby, so most of my time was spent playing in the woods around the lake. I would often go fishing around the banks of the lake, or spend time building tree forts in the woods just beyond."
