A source within the Palestinian Authority said that Egypt committed to activate the Rafah Border Crossing once a ceasefire agreement is reached with Israel, so long as the Palestinian Authority carries the responsibility of managing the crossing. During talks between Egypt and the Palestinian Authority’s envoy, it was made clear that the Rafah Border Crossing will not be discussed during talks with Israel, as it does not pertain to the dispute between Israel and Hamas.
