A special Christmas event is coming up :) In addition to the old Llanelli Odeon, the district of Llanelli is very lucky to have another historic art deco cinema. Cross Hands Hall was built in 1906 and adapted in 1932. It is a striking example of its kind that was almost lost when it fell into disrepair in the 1980s. After a hard fought campaign, it was lovingly restored by a group of volunteers and reopened in 1996. It is due to the continued efforts of volunteers that the hall is still providing cinema and shows today, because it doesnt get any council funding or state subsidies. crosshandshallandcinema.co.uk/ I have taken my family to this little gem of a cinema for many years. When the projection and sound systems were upgraded last year I was amazed that it is now technically the equal of any modern multiplex, and superior to many!! Tracy and Trevor always give a warm welcome which is just what you want on these dark winter nights :) If you havent visited yet, we urge you to do so for a more authentic art deco cinema experience. Whats more, you can visit and help save the old Llanelli Odeon because on Sunday 21st at 15:00, we will be holding a special fundraising event.
