A special shout out goes to first semester student Michelle Krebs who has been selected as one of the Stars of Service with our affiliates The American Hospitality Academy. PHS students complete one of the AHAs online courses, Hospitality Professional Certificate, during their first semester. During this course they are required to participate in online discussions. One discussion the students are asked to share one challenging experience and how they dealt with it. Here is Michelles response: I was recently challenged with having to deal with various different cultures where i may have been a victim of stereotyping before actually getting to know the individuals, the HPC taught me to get to know individuals before stereotyping, for in the hospitality industry we will face many different cultures that we may dissagree with or be unknown to. I have reserched and gotten to know various cultures and am very interested in culture. I have learnt to not judge before i dont know the real meaning to a culture. Keep making us proud Michelle :)
