A stage manager working her first IA show in a certain city, but not her first IA show by any means, asked this on a stage management forum. What do you think? Can anyone tell me if their IATSE run crew disappears from the stage, watches TV, smokes cigarettes - all while the show is running? Its one thing to know your cues, but Im a firm believer in being there for when unpredictable things happen. Mechanical issues rarely occur, but when they do, there is rarely enough people on headset to catch these incidents. This is my first show in (city). Are my expectations to high for this crew?
