A store owner from Miranshah confirmed to a private Pakistani media channel today that TTP militants prefer American soap and ladies perfume, as compared to Pakistani products. Rasheed-ur-Rehman, who has migrated to Bannu with his family amid military action against the TTP, added that they always paid high prices for US commodities. He said the daily sale at his shop was worth Rs 1.25 lakh and that the North Waziristan operation badly affected his business. The vendor revealed that the TTP, who claim to be anti-America, admire branded Western products including Secret Love, Blue Lady, Rasasi perfumes among others. They also have a special liking for Dove and Olay soaps.
