A storm is something that troubles you; something directed to take your mind off of God and onto the situation. It is not always caused by the enemy/devil/Satan – sometimes it’s a distraction we have created ourselves by not guarding our heart [Prov 4:23], renewing our mind [Rom. 12:2], reading the Bible [Josh. 1:8] or not sleeping well. So many things can trigger a storm. Whether it is caused by ourselves, or by the enemy, the truth still remains that God is present within it. Psalm 46:1 declares that ‘God is our ever present help in times of trouble.’ He is with us in trouble! So why don’t we call on Him and trust Him at His word that He will do what He said He would do and help us??
