A stronger dollar maybe one of the deeper convictions investors have for the second half of the year, but the greenback is not getting too much love.With this slew of economic data ultimately changing little, foreign-exchange markets are already turning their focus to testimony today from Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke. The prospect that the Fed will slow quantitative easing has fuelled a 3.5 per cent gain in the dollar index this year and made the currency the top pick among investors, according to a monthly survey from Bank of America Merrill Lynch.Nerves are particularly strained before Mr Bernanke’s Congressional testimony, because his comments last week prompted a retreat for the dollar, as he underlined the risks to the US economy
