A suggestion for the Bedwin Road fence next to Camdenville Park at St Peters. It has a locally significant VOTE No GAS Mining Near Our Kids (all in CAPITALS) graffiti on it. The fence will be either replaced or as a suggestion, reused but lowered in height to allow more visual in-look to the park, which would be good! The No Gas slogan could be preserved by incorporating the image and words into an artwork on the rejigged existing fence. Other community art inspired panels could be painted in cooperation with nearby Junior schools to make the fence a landmark of young kids and community. Turning a now pretty ugly but serviceable fence into a sustainably reused item that has value and appeal, that reflects creative spirit of our area and belonging to more use of the public space. The kids bike pump track will be incorporated and the fence made more transparent in places to allow passive surveillance for safety and personal security reasons for park users.
