A sweet friend has encouraged me to post this in its own post to make sure you guys get a chance to see it.... Shawn and I and our family would like to thank each and everyone one of you from the bottom of our hearts for your support during this issue. For those of you who know me, you will have guessed that this incident rocked my world pretty hard. Not just from the business aspect, but it hurt me on a personal and emotional level as well. I know that I am a very naive person when it comes to ethics and how we should treat each other and many times I just flit through life thinking nobody could be so cruel as to intentionally hurt someone else, or try to undermine their business. This is Planet Bead, afterall....it is too beautiful here for that sort of nastiness to be going on. I think this way because I truly want it to be true. But wishes are not always reality. So when something like this happens I struggle to process it in my mind. And from that place I usually fail and my emotions take over. And as usual this is what happened to me again. I know I should not let the actions of another company hurt me emotionally like this, but I just cannot seem to help myself. While Ive had my business for close to 30 years now, I still operate with my heart on many levels. And because of that I get hurt....sometimes deeply. But what helps me to heal from that is knowing I have friends, and customers and family members who care. And that, in my world, is the most beautiful gift of all. So thank you again for understanding me, for accepting me, for supporting me and my family. And my promise to you in return is that I will not allow this to jade me, or harden me, or change who I am. I will not become ruthless in this industry. Much love to you all! And may you experience someone coming to your rescue and feeling the comfort in that.
