****** A tale of one man who rode on the glory of his peoples glowing suffering and hardships is the person of Odinga family in Luo Nyanza of Kenya. A family that tightly clinched on the loyalty and resilience of his people but whose fortunes fifty solid years later,is threats,intimidations, silencing and crippling of the rising alternative stars. Such is the story of pain,that the elites among the people,who have been enlightened and willing to give back,are welcomed in stares and stones,for fear of threatening the caliphate. ****** To affirm my assertion,most of the third generation members of Luo ,aged at my age,will refuse to discourse and engage objectively but choose to hurl insults at the writer of this piece,a fallacy in logic called ad hominem. In the years when gods knocked the doors of the community and offered them a parallel state power between 2008-2012,the caliph only cemented his hold on the community by rewarding his siblings and seed,his clique and cabal of friends,at the amazement of the starving and ailing members of the community. ****** The situation has grown so helpless that today,at the writing of this,the politics of Luo Nyanza are cooked,served and refrigerated at Bondo,in the palace. Democracy has a new understanding in that part of the world. And today,the democracy was affirmed,as usual. One day,a daredevil son of the community broke ranks with the caliph and spilt the beans, with a complete answer of liberation. But in what Plato called the allegory of the cave,this son was not only humiliated for offering the true liberty,but his person was inhumanely mauled by trained and instructed hooligans,at a fee. ****** Now,it cannot be said that the members of this brilliant minded community has no option,No. They have had well intentioned and focussed sons and daughters with them.
