A teacher does not quarrel. There will always be difficult people, - TopicsExpress

A teacher does not quarrel. There will always be difficult people, there will always be wicked and unreasonable men, some of them in the church, many of them in your place of work or business. Many of them will be instruments that the enemy will use to try to derail you. Some of them, God put in your life to help mold you into what he wants you to be. The key to becoming all that God has purposed for you to be is not to resist Him when conflicts arise in our relationships with the difficult and unreasonable people in our lives. The key to rising to the level of a great teacher like our Lord is your ability to trust that God is working his purpose out in your life even through the actions of the difficult and unreasonable people in your life. If you are trusting God in this way, you will be able to teach and instruct them gently. You will be able to show kindness, patience, and gentleness even when they are getting on your nerves and trying you sore. You will be able to recognize that God is moving in His mysterious ways to bring not only you but the people you are teaching to where He wants them to be. A teacher must have the fruit of the spirit operating in his life on a regular basis. One meaning of teach is to pound it in. Sometimes as a teacher it will seem as if nothing is happening in the lives of the people you are teaching. You may even get discouraged and wonder why you are bothering to continue. Don’t grow weary, continue teaching, continue to be patient and gentle, continue to manifest the fruit of the spirit, continue to be constant in season and out of season, continue to depend and trust in the Lord. Something is happening under the surface. You may not see it but soon it will blossom. It may not be in the next month, or next year but there will surely be a blossoming in the lives of those you teach. I sometimes think back to my teachers and mentors throughout my life. I especially think of those who taught me in Bible School and wonder what they must have suffered as they were teaching me thinking ‘when will she get it, when will she become what we know God had put in her’ I can tell you that my teachers are glad that they stuck with me, that they continued to teach me with patience and gentleness even when I had some really foolish questions and behaved foolishly. I am more than glad that they stuck with me, always encouraging me, always pointing me to the Lord, to the plumb line. My prayer is that like my teachers before me I will be faithful in teaching others gently with kindness and patience. Thank you Lord. Wisdom “And the things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, these entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also” NAS 2 Timothy 2: 2
