A third party was using a borer machine which cut through fibre cables in Mounts Bay Rd, shortly before 4pm yesterday. The damage was extensive, impacting customers on ADSL, fixed line, Foxtel, and BigPond services in Perth and throughout the South West. Our technicians worked through the night to repair the damaged fibres and we are doing everything we can to restore services as quickly as possible. We understand this outage is very inconvenient for customers and we do apologise. At this stage we expect to have services fully restored by later today. If any customers continue to have issues then please contact Telstra on 132 203, or 132 000 for business customers.
