A thought.... I wanted to share a thought with you that has been on my heart continually. I want to share one word with you that sometimes we, including myself, have not thought about or have not realize how important this word is to God. That 3 letter word is “ALL”. Such a simple word with a powerful meaning to it. I looked up the word all and the definition for “all” is everything, entire & withholding nothing. So the question is are you giving your all to Christ. Deut. 6:5 says “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.” You will see this same scripture mentioned in Mark, Luke & Matthew. I wanted to see how many times all is mentioned in the word of God, I did not do a count but looked it up and some sites will tell you that the word all is mentioned “Approximately 5621 times. Depending on what translation you are reading.” This word must mean a lot to Christ, you think? This simple word isn’t as simple as you may have thought it to be. It isn’t too easy to give God your all. Regardless to how hard it may seem to be, all is what is require. Do you not think that Jehovah, El Shaddai, El Elyon and so many more names, that He will not give you what you need in order to give Him your all? Men, let’s stop making excuses. The real reason why, I believe, men have a hard time with the word all is because there is another word that we do not like that is a direct link to all and that is surrender, we will touch on this in the near future. What you have now is nothing compared to what God has for you if you would give Him your all. Remember this that what you believe you have is not yours but you are a steward of what the Lord has given you. James 1:17 put it best, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.” Men I encourage you to give you all to Christ. Don’t wait until Sunday to give you all then, this is not giving you all, this is doing church. We should want to give God our all every day. Involve God in all that we do. Involve God in all the decisions we make. Trust God with all that we are and what He has given to us. I will leave you with this; My dad use to sing a song that was title 99 ½ % won’t due. Let us not give God our leftovers but give what is due to Him our ALL!!!
