A tight-knit group of more than twenty left the Hellenic Canadian Friendship Association/Friends of Canada ‘Christmas Carol Sing-along’ feeling ‘warm and fuzzy’ on December 7. After brief welcomes from Honorary Consul of Canada, Pantelis Petmezas, and the network coordinator, Kathryn Lukey-Coutsocostas, they sang Christmas carols and enjoyed Christmas cheer. This included guests generously donating dry food items for the impoverished, disabled elderly of ‘Kapi’ – and a lucky door prize winner receiving a Canadian book courtesy of the Canadian embassy. The network wishes to express special thanks to the Honorary Consul of Canada, Pantelis Petmezas, & Dora Petmezas (for attending), to Anna Angelidou-Polychroniadou, member of city council/president of ‘Kapi’ (ΚΑΠΗ), Thessaloniki, (for facilitating the food donation distribution) and to the venue sponsor les amis coffee bar (for hosting them with a discount).
