A top international aviation lawyer says Malaysia Airlines should be excluded from the investigation into the shooting down of its plane as it ignored warnings about flying over the Ukraine war zone. Jerry Skinner who won $2 billion compensation for the victims of the Lockerbie aeroplane bombing from the Libyan government, said US aviation authorities had banned its airlines from flying in an area near MH17 crash site. He said the airline should have avoided all unacceptable risk given it had lost another aircraft - MH370- only a few months ago. Malaysia Airlines should not be included in this investigation as they have ignored important and significant warnings against the safety of flights over a combat zone, Mr. Skinner said. He said the tragic loss of two of the companys aircraft in such a short space of time would lead to questions abpit Malaysia Airlines operational competency. - Herald Sun 21/07/2014
