A truly crappy afternoon! After a long day of school I left with a splitting headache having had nothing to eat all day... only to find my car was dead... the gear shift was jammed. I had to wit about until 4:30 for a tow. At the shop they had no one who could give me a ride home... so from there I walked to a nearby neighborhood restaurant and spent the next hour calling around... trying to get my wife a ride home from her job in Westlake. One friend was in New York, the wifes mother was in Columbus, her sister was at one of her daughters school events, another friend was ill... arrrgh!! And on top of this I had to spend 15 minutes on line with the bank as the wife informs me she had her purse stolen including her ATM card!!! And I still had to walk home... about 45 minutes in the dark. And then another hour on the phone trying to get her a ride. I was about to call for a cab when my brother-in-law called and offered to drive her home. Thank God! Now we get to sit at home tomorrow and wait for the call from the mechanic and find out just how bad the damages there will be. I think I have one bottle of Dragons Milk Stout and one Southern Tier Creme Brulee.. as well as a whole bottle of Gray Goose.
