A typical narcissist student: In the simplest terms, narcissists believe everything they complete is a massive undertaking and, according to Ashmun (2004), should be honored by all in the general vicinity. Grandiose claims are the staple of the narcissistic disorder. A distinction between an inflated sense of achievement and true achievement is necessary in understanding narcissism. When students get low grades, they inflate their achievements. And demand from teachers a justification (assuming the teacher is not a narcissist himself who thinks he is the only one capable of getting 1.0 in Math).
