A variety of advisories are posted for the Chesapeake Bay region this evening, particularly the mid and lower bay (see link for advisories in your area.) The center will pass over the MD Eastern Shore later tonight with gusty winds over 40 mph possible, especially around the center and to the east. Showers and thunderstorms will continue through the evening with isolated severe weather (a tornado watch is in effect for parts of southern MD and southeast VA.) Showers may persist into the morning hours on Saturday, but some sunshine is likely during the afternoon with highs in the low 80s. There is a slight chance of an afternoon t-storm on Saturday.
