A very candid story by Yuri Bereza, the commander of Dnipro-1 - TopicsExpress

A very candid story by Yuri Bereza, the commander of Dnipro-1 volunteers battalion in Eastern Ukraine. I am very happy to have my fighters with me in my unit. You know, we only admit one person out of five applicants, choosing the bravest and the healthiest. And I know that I, as the battalion commander, am everything to these men: I am their boss, their father, their mother, and even their Mother Teresa. The Russian invaders hate us, and this is good: we keep giving them more grounds to hate us just like we hate them. We never surrender, and we take no prisoners. If the Vatniks are in a building, we do not attempt to seize it - rather, we destroy it together with them. I know that there are folks who do a great job negotiating with the Russo-Nazis about POW exchange, but my battalion never negotiates, we just kill them. We were defeated by the regular Russian army units at Ilovaysk, but I am proud that my buddies and I burned 300 Russians using fire-launchers. We were in a triple trap, but we made it out. I remember hitting my soldiers who tried to hid under armored vehicles instead of fighting. And then I met one of them away from the line of fire, and he hugged me, and said, Major, sir, because you hit me back then, I made it through the Russian ranks alive.
