A very good friend of my daughters, a man Ive known since he was a boy, was involved in accident while serving overseas. He suffered a brain injury, they performed emergency surgery in Kuwait to reduce the swelling and induced a coma, hes currently in Germany and theyre hoping to fly him to Walter Reed Medical Center in the next few days. As of now, the doctors do not know the extent of the damage. His family has been by his side in Germany since Christmas Eve. Im not sharing the soldiers information at this time publicly, to protect the families privacy during this difficult time. #SHplates has generously offered to donate a 25# plate to raise money for this solider and his family.
