A very interesting perspective on the issue of modesty in the face of objectifying women driven by a secular liberal society. She makes some valid points, though, her understanding of modesty falls short on how Islam views the woman. It is definitely encouraging to see non-Muslims who can recognise social problems; what is missing is a solution to solve such ills and consider them to be a part of a greater ideology that intentionally reduces the value of the minds of women for the sake of financial gains. Islam on the other hand, indisputably elevates the status of women like no other form of culture. Indeed Allah SWT knows His creation and indeed Islam provides comfort to the hearts.
