A very long time ago, I did research into asbestosis and mesothelioma.. They can take over 40 years to manifest. And they are not alone. Only now are we seeing what 40+ years of indescriminate oral contraceptive pill prescribing is doing to young girls. I was a med student when the Pill first became available. It quickly became (and still is) the easiest thing to write on a script. But in those distant days we had hardly any infertility, any PCOS, any amenorrhea (absent periods) or any endometriosis. Now we see them every single day. I wonder why. Maybe some things take 40+ years to show up. And maybe, just maybe, pharmaceutical companies cant wait 40+ years to see if their products are truly safe. Just sayin.
