A very long time ago in 1987 after being in the Navy I started walking straight up to people and just plain ask them about anything I heard from a Jackass that I might care about. More than half the time they were shocked by my question and told me a very different truth. I have always done that now to show my respect for the person who has been misquoted or misunderstood, and I personally prefer raw truth. Great way to clear the air and get things back on track sooner the better. We can disagree but not argue.
