A very sad day! To day was the first day of the new school year, but not for thousands of people with their new identity,Internally Displaced Persons , and also hundreds of local students who are withiut school because the schools are occupied by homeless IDPs. I saw how an other era is going to repeat itself again. In 20-30 years time when people would apply to some studies or further education, or posts... etc, they could not get it because they will be too old and they will not be fitted to the program... bla, bla, bla... . To day in Zakho city, in Badjed Kandal, in Khanke, in Sharia, in Durebon, there were no schools to go, there were no bells to rang. No running school girls and boys to scream and shout and laugh. Today was an other hot day in 40 degree, kids waiting for drops of clean water to drink, a pice of bread to eat, and at its best a small space to hid themselves from the sun!
