A very sad day indeed! Attending Cathedral High School, where 99% of our esteemed faculty and administrative staff were Christian, it never occurred to me that they were “Different”. They were and are my teachers and nothing else mattered then or today. My classmates and friends to name a few like Stephen, David, Joel, Dennis, Bruce, Rudy, Simon, Samuel and so many more were and are my brothers. Neither they nor us coming from Muslim families, were concerned with religious affiliations. We were and are just “buddies” and that was all that mattered . I will gladly sit at the feet of all of my respected “Christian” teachers today and always because I cannot thank them enough for their commitment and selfless hard work to guide us and set us on the right path. It was never an issue whether someone was Christian or Muslim.... but then I don’t know who sowed the seed of difference, of hatred, of conflict and of sectarianism and the result is before us. My heart goes out to all my brothers and sisters who have lost loved one’s in this cowardly attack. May Allah rest their souls in peace and may He grant the bereaved families the strength to deal with their loss............Ameen
