A very special plea to all my christian friends at Christmas. I hope you all have the merriest of Christmases. I hope you enjoy the company of family and friends in the warmth of your homes, eating traditional turkey/goose/ham/prime rib. I hope you gather around your tree and enjoy sharing the gifts of the season with your loved ones. I hope you go to the church of your choice and worship the birth of Jesus. But I also hope that you DONT infringe on my Jewish Christmas. I hope you DONT go to your favorite movie, broadway show, and ESPECIALLY that you arent going out for chinese food on Christmas day!!! For as long as i can remember these things have been the realm of non-christians. At the hit movie, the kennedy center or national theater, and especially at the best chinese restaurants, it was Jews, Muslims, Budhists, etc. that you would be sitting next to at these venues!! last Thursday, a full week before Christmas, i called to make a reservation at our favorite, go-to-on-Christmas chinese restaurant and their dinner seatings were completely booked until 9pm. .....best i could do was get a reservation for 3:30!! this is worse than last year. And i can promise you that not everyone there last year, or this year will be non-christians!! So, Please, Please, dont infringe on my Jewish Christmas!!
